Birch Lake Resort is an inexpensive camping, fishing, hunting, and vacation option for individuals, families, and small groups. We have begun an extensive renovating process for all cottages to update the furniture and appliances in all the units. In the meantime, if you enjoy the rustic cabin ambience, we are sure you can enjoy a real bargain when you stay with us. We believe we have positioned ourselves as one of the most inexpensive vacation rental spots in the area. As you know, when the renovating is done, we will have to charge more rent per unit.   

Enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay with us - our property is located 10 minutes behind Thessalon Ontario with 775 feet of water frontage on the north shore of Birch Lake. This gives us a beautiful sunny southern exposure and un-obstructed views of this secluded and peaceful lake. Most cottages are within 20 feet of the shore line. The water is usually calm and warm because Birch Lake is a small inland lake that isn't very deep. Apparently there are many areas in the lake which are less than 12 feet deep so the water warms up quickly in the spring, and stays warm all through the summer and fall. This makes Birch Lake a lovely swimming lake.

The shoreline has a mixture of sandy areas, weeded areas, and some overgrown areas perfect for fishing. There are 2 docks - one in the swimming area, and the other one is just offshore from the weeded fishing area. The dock goes out far enough to give you 4.5 feet of water depth. It is deep enough to accommodate small sailing boats with a draft less than 4 feet. The dock is brought on shore during the winter freeze. We rent aluminum boats with electric motors. They are environmentally clean, quite, and trouble-free.

We are trying to do our part to help keep the lake clean and natural. We encourage conservation and prefer the use of electric motors on the lake; however, our guests are allowed to launch their own gas powered boats and use gas-powered ATVs on our property.

All cottages are 2 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 6 adults. Each cabin has a kitchen (fridge - stove - sink - cabinets), a living area, and bathroom (toilet - sink - shower). All cottages are fully furnished and have a front and back door for fire safety. All cottages have a porch and lawn area, picnic table, fire pit, and plenty of parking.

Open fires are only permitted in designated fire pits. Firewood is available. Friendly well behaved pets are welcome. We require pets to be leashed and owners must clean-up after them.
